Welcome to TSKY Studio

Dear parents,

There is a growing trend of parents sending their children to start music class at a very early age (2 ~ 4 years old) to harness the children’s learning ability. On the other hand, there is also huge percentage of children who lost interest and eventually dropped off after a few individual music lessons. The main reasons for the lost of interest are because:

  • Children are normally taught to learn the classical music or songs which they are not familiar with,
  • Children are taught to start playing the keyboard even though when their finger is not ready,
  • Children are taught to learn the music notes visually using eye-hand coordination instead of ear-hand coordination,
  • Children’s attention span is short. The children get bored and lost interest after the novelty of playing an instrument like piano wears off. Why? Because they have not developed ‘readiness’ to play an instrument.

Now, ask yourselves a few questions:

  • Do you want your child to love, enjoy music and felt passionate to practice piano by himself/herself, without you nagging or forcing them to learn?
  • Do you want your child to come back to you for more songs because they enjoyed the lessons and feel accomplished?

Well, if you answered YES to any of the above questions, then you have landed on the right page. We are going to share with you very strong reasons for attending TSKY Studio’s pre-instrumental program before your child starts the individual instrument lesson.

The objective of this early child program is to develop skills, abilities and talent that are necessary for a child to be physically and mentally ready before taking up an instrument. Music activities are designed to foster development of the child’s – body, mind and spirit. At every level, the emphasis of the program is on music and being musical – singing, dancing, listening & moving to music, learning tones & rhythms and playing simple instruments.

We have 4 categories of early child music programs designed for different age groups of children:

Music for Babies – New born to 16 months

Music for Toddlers – 16 months to 4 year old

Cycle of Seasons – 3 to 6 year old

Music maker at the keyboards – from 5 year old

Upon completing the final module (Music for keyboards), the children would have:

• Developed good aural and Sight- reading skills (well prepared for music exams);

• Learned how to do simple Composition, Transposition, Improvisation and Dictation;

• Learned about Harmony, Chord Progression & Forms in Music, Composers and Music of different periods;

• Acquired the proper keyboard / piano skills;

WELL PREPARED & READY FOR INDIVIDUAL MUSIC LESSONS.
